The Chicago Blackhawks organization has taken a major step back in recent years, but with one of the NHL's best prospects coming through, a quick rebuild could be on the cards.
For a successful rebuild however, the team needs a new captain, and according to recent reports, it appears Bedard could be that man, whether it happens this year or over the next two or three years.
As we know for a team at the start of a rebuild, they don't have many leaders locked in, and while it's likely that Jones gets an 'A' to support Captain Connor sometime in the next few seasons, he will be needed as a leader as this rebuild moves on.
Ultimately, either many would be a solid captain, and if the team has to name one this off-season, Jones may be the best option, but if the organization is patient for their biggest star to grow into the role, Jones will certainly have to settle for an 'A'.
