Red Wings Miss Defenseman After Injury On Play
The Red Wings avoided an injury scare as defenseman Ben Chiarot left early in the 1st period against the Buffalo Sabres after falling awkwardly on the ice.
Chiarot left the game, headed to the locker room, but was able to return shortly after. Detroit lost Chiarot last season after suffering an upper-body injury in March, in which he missed two weeks. Luckily, a similar issue did not present itself, and Chiarot quickly managed to make it back on the ice in a 5-3 Red Wings win.
Chiarot has 2 Goals and 7 Points in 24 Games this season for the Red Wings, who sit 2nd in the Atlantic Division with a 14-7-3 record.
