The Edmonton Oilers held a moment of silence for Adam Johnson who passed away last night after a freak accident playing in the EIHL. One fan did not respect the moment though.

Johnson Passes Away

Former Penguin Adam Johnson had gone overseas to continue his career as a professional hockey player. He signed with the Nottingham Panthers of the EIHL last offseason, taking his talents to the UK. Unfortunately he suffered a fatal injury in his last game with the team. The Panthers confirmed the news on X this morning.
Since the announcement was made, an outpouring of support has come from all around the hockey world.
"The Toronto Maple Leafs join the hockey community in mourning the passing of Adam Johnson. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his friends, family, and teammates."
The Oilers held a moment of silence for Johnson as they hosted the Heritage Classic tonight.

Oilers Fan Disrespects Johnson

During the moment of silence, one Oilers fan took the opportunity to make themselves look like the biggest loser in the building as they started chanting, "Let's go oilers."
Moments of silence should always be respected regardless of who they are for or what hockey team you cheer for. The fan(s) involved should be embarrassed and ashamed of themselves.
