Veteran forward Corey Perry signed a contract with the Edmonton Oilers this week after a controversial contract termination put an end to his journey in Chicago.

"EDMONTON, AB – The Edmonton Oilers and free-agent forward Corey Perry have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with an average annual value (AAV) of $775,000 plus performance bonuses.

The 38-year-old right-winger has played 1,273 career NHL regular season games, scoring 421 goals and 471 assists for 892 points. Perry has also played 196 career playoff games, recording 53 goals and 71 assists for 124 points."
The Oilers made a major announcement concerning Perry.

We Now Know When Perry Will Play His First Game With The Oilers

In a new update, we learned that Perry should be in uniform tonight against the Nashville Predators today as the Oilers will look to win a 16th straight game.
Yesterday, he opened up about it:
"I'm excited, it's been a long two months, self-reflecting, going through a lot of things and I'm excited to be here now. Practice has been good. I've only had two real practices and a couple of morning skates, but for the most part, I felt OK. It's not the same, you can skate all you want by yourself and do all the things, but you have NHL players pushing on you and NHL goalies in the net, it's a different animal. We'll see how it is tomorrow and go from there."
Do you think Perry will score a point in his first game as an Oiler?
