There's been chatter for a while now about Patrick Roy returning in the NHL. After spending some time with the Avalanche, he turned back to coaching in the minors for the Quebec Remparts (QMJHL).

They had an incredible season and right now, they're in the running for the Memorial Cup.
People are once again talking about Roy possibly returning to the NHL. There are many teams looking for a good head coach, and Roy is often mentioned as a top pick.
One recent rumor stands out, though.

Roy to Join the Rangers?

The New York Rangers have just let go of their coach, Gerard Gallant, and are on the hunt for a new one. A recent tweet suggests that Patrick Roy could be a great fit for what the Rangers need:
"The Rangers yearn for the intensity that Torts brought to the team years ago, someone who would demand accountability, someone who abhors defeat, someone to infuse fresh energy into the team. Roy fits the bill."

Roy is known for his passion for the game and his strong drive to win. He'd be a great candidate for any team looking for a leader that isn't afraid of the public eye.
However, he's been away from the NHL for some time now. So, the big question is: Does Roy really want to jump back into the big league?
