Trocheck Enters in Accidental Collision With Johnny Gaudreau That Almost Gets Him Ejected
Last night, the New York Rangers took on the Columbus Blue Jackets and walked away with an easy 4-1 win.

Vincent Trocheck entered in a violent collision with Johnny Gaudreau.

Making his was to his bench, Trocheck tried to skate between his teammate Matt Rempe, who was moving with the puck, and his opponent Johnny Gaudreau. Unfortunately, he didn't make it and hit Gaudreau on his way.

At first, the refs decided to give him a 5-minute major penalty and reviewed the incident.
When watching the slow-motion replay, it's clear that Trocheck was actually trying to dodge Gaudreau both players and did the best he could.
After reconsidering what they saw in the review, the referees reversed the penalty, giving the Rangers a powerplay opportunity instead. The Rangers took advantage of this and scored.
After the game, Gaudreau himself said he didn't believe Trocheck deserved a penalty for the incident. Trocheck, showing sportsmanship, visited Gaudreau in the Blue Jackets' locker room to make sure he was okay, highlighting their friendship.
