The start of new ownership in Ottawa was meant to breathe new life into the franchise, but unfortunately, it's been nothing short of an absolute nightmare for new owner Ottawa Senators.
In the first few months of being the Senators owner, Michael Andlauer has had a rough time, as the team have been stripped of a first-round pick for the prior regime's mismanagement, a gambling suspension, poor play on the ice, as well as firing a General Manager.
Unsurprisingly, he wasn't happy with this and didn't realize just how bad things would be, making a recent comment that he doesn't know why he inherited this mess.
This type of comment didn't elude the NHL's Commissioner, as Bettman recently made a pointed, awkward threat at the Ottawa Senators new Owner.
From Bettman, this is a clear threat that he should just accept what would happen and go with the flow, and given the NHL's questionable decisions in recent years, it appears as though that's what other owners have done.
