A former NHLer announced that he's retiring.

Butler Retires

The forward Bobby Butler made the decision to retire from hockey at 36 years old.

He played for the Senators, the Devils, the Predators and the Panthers between 2010 and 2014.
He won the Calder Cup back in 2011 in the AHL and also played in the KHL, the SHL and the ECHL.

The Olympian

He also took part of the 2018 Olympics for the USA.
Between 2019 and 2022, he was Director of Hockey Operations for the Worcester Jr. Railers and an assistant coach for the Holy Cross.
"Forward Bobby Butler has decided to retire from professional ice hockey at the age of 36.

Butler scored 20 goals, 29 assists, and 49 points in 130 career #NHL games for the Ottawa #Senators, New Jersey #Devils, Nashville #Predators, and Florida #Panthers from 2010 to 2014. He won an #AHL Calder Cup in 2011 with the Binghamton #Senators and also spent time in the #SHL, #KHL, and #ECHL.

Internationally, Butler won a bronze medal with USA at the 2013 World Championship—scoring 4 points in 8 games—and again played for them at the 2018 Olympics."
