In a recent interview, Evgeni Malkin Revealed when he is hoping to retire from the NHL.

Evgeni Malkin is an Unsung Hero in Penguins History

Malkin was drafted by the Penguins with the second overall pick back in 2004. While Sidney Crosby gets most of the attention when it comes to the Penguins, Malkin has been his partner in crime in leading the club to its success.

Malkin has played in 1,063 games and recorded 471 goals and 1,229 points over the span. He won the Hart Trophy in 2012 and helped the team to three Stanley Cup Championships.

Malkin Reveals When He Hopes To Retire from the NHL

As the Penguins usher in a new era, Malkin has revealed just how long he hopes to play for before retiring from the NHL.
Three more years, I hope. - Malkin on his Penguins future.


Malkin still has lots left to give the organization, finishing last season with 27 goals and 83 points last year. He can still contribute at the highest level despite being 37 years old. As long as he remains healthy, he could very well be playing into his 40s and could help his partner Sidney Crosby and the Penguins to another Stanley Cup.
