Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak seemingly broke an unwritten rule on Saturday when he took a point blank slap shot at Pittsburgh Penguins goalie Tristan Jarry, which seemed to anger Penguins forward Sidney Crosby.

Unwritten Rule Crackdown

Over the past few NHL seasons, breaking unwritten rules has become more of a talking point, and the issue arose once again when Pastrnak wound up for a point blank slap shot with only 1 second remaining on the game clock.
Sidney Crosby clearly took exception to this shot, as he immediately confronted Pastrnak on the ice before the teams departed for the dressing rooms.
However after the 6-3 loss at the hands of the Bruins, Crosby was asked about and subsequently downplayed the interaction between the two star forwards, saying that «there was still time left on the clock».
With the Penguins sitting just one point of a playoff spot with just two games remaining, this interaction clearly shows Crosby is determined to play playoff hockey this season.
