The Toronto Maple Leafs have made a massive switch to their game presentation early in the NHL season.
Maple Leafs Make A Big Switch To Their Goal Song
The Toronto Maple Leafs debuted another new goal song tonight against the Minnesota Wild. The Maple Leafs had said they would be rotating songs but now it seems as though the switch was due to fan complaints.
Don't expect to hear «Pursuit of Happiness» as the goal song for #LeafsForever games anymore. Told they won't be using it any longer this season.
Heard the Leafs received some complaints about the song's message and/or lyrics.
After the removal of Pursuit of Happiness, the new goal song has been chosen called Dup Dup.
Also, «Dup Dup,» tonight's anthem, will be part of the goal song rotation moving forward.
It remains to be seen whether or not Dup Dup will take over as the main song or if a new song will take that mantle. One thing is for sure Pursuit of Happiness' run as the Maple Leafs goal song has come to an end.
