In last night's game, the Leafs didn't perform up to their abilities, and the fans at the Scotiabank Arena let them know.
Last night, the Leafs gave one of their poorer performances of the year, losing to the L.A. Kings 3-1 at home. The game came at the end of a long road trip, but that didn't earn the team any slack from fans. During a stretch at the end of the second period, the Leafs were hemmed in their own zone. Losing 3-0 and being unsuccessful in their attempts to break out, fans at the Scotiabank Arena had enough and were heard booing the team as they ended the period.
After, Marner had comments on the fans booing, saying that it is important that the Leafs don't get focused on what's going on around them and stay on the task at hand.
While the Leafs haven't been bad to start the year, this was definitely one of the worst games they have played thus far. The energy and passion just weren't there, as noted by podcaster Steve Dangle.
