Bobby McMann was ejected for a questionable hit last night, and fans are furious as an even worse hit went without punishment just the night before.
McMann Ejected for Boarding on Mintyukov
The Leafs aren't known for being a dirty team to play against and generally have a pretty good reputation. However, that reputation didn't seem to go very far last night for Bobby McMann.
McMann delivered a questionable hit to the Ducks' Pavel Mintyukov, which sent him flying face-first into the boards. The hit was borderline, delivered to the side of Mintyukov but sending him into the boards at a dangerous distance. Take a look at the hit below.

McMann was given a 5-minute major and a game misconduct for the hit, which ended his night.
Fans Outraged That McMann was Ejected after Other Boarding Calls Missed
Fans were outraged about the incident, especially given that Nick Cousins got off scot-free for his hit on Juuso Valimaki.
Many fans thought that it was Mintyukov's awkward body positioning that made the hit look worse than it was, not McMann's fault, and therefore he shouldn't have been ejected.
