Viral: William Nylander Couldn't Hold Himself From Laughing During US National Anthem

Athletes normally try to refrain from any reaction to the National Anthem. Normally, they are pretty locked into their pregame rituals. However, on the odd occasion when an anthem really stands out, some athletes can't help but laugh at the performance.

That's what happened last night to William Nylander during an electric guitar performance of the American National Anthem prior to the Leafs taking on the Ducks. The guitarist got a little crazy, going off script, and Nylander couldn't help but laugh at the performance.

One of the most likable parts of William Nylander is his easy going attitude. Honestly, its no surprise to any Leaf fan that he would be the one laughing at a National Anthem prior to a game. That's who he is, and it seems to work for him.

Nylander added another assist last night against the Ducks, putting him at 51 points in 36 games. His carefree attitude clearly doesn't negatively impact his game, and its exactly that which allows him to succeed in the zoo of media that accompanies playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Now the only thing remaining is to see if Nylander and the Leafs will get a deal done that has been rumored for the last few days.
