Last evening, the sad announcement came that Brad Maxwell, a former NHL All-Star, has died at the age of 66 from lung cancer.
"We want to express our sincere gratitude for the love and support shown to us during this difficult time. It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Brad «Maxy» Maxwell on September 3rd, 2023. Those who knew him were truly lucky, and he will be deeply missed. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers,"

A Look at Maxwell's Career

Brad Maxwell was selected as the 7th overall pick by the Minnesota North Stars in the 1977 NHL Draft.
Over his 13-year NHL career, Maxwell played 612 games across several teams, including the North Stars, the Nordiques, the Maple Leafs, the Canucks, and the Rangers. He accumulated a total of 368 points during this time.
"RIP Brad Maxwell. Maxwell could play the game a number of different ways & play them well. He could QB a powerplay, score w/ a howitzer from the point, win 1 on 1 battles in the defensive zone & beat up your tough guy. Maxwell was 66. Godspeed Mr. Maxwell."

Our heartfelt condolences go out to his friends and family.
