The Toronto Maple Leafs made some savvy moves this off-season, putting them into position to be major contenders when the playoffs roll around once again, but now, most people around the league have identified their biggest weakness.

Lack of toughness

Despite adding Ryan Reaves and John Klingberg, it appears this team lacks a major toughness on their blue line, but fans have already eyed up the perfect candidate.
After being placed on waivers, the team could now target former Maple Leafs fan favourite Zach Bogosian to play in the role after he played in 45 games for the team back in 2020-21.
If I'm the Leafs I'm taking a long look at claiming Bogosian. He's better than the options they put on waivers today and is a viable option in the lineup with Timmins out for a while.

A complete roster

Beyond that, this appears to be a team set for a deep playoff run with a deep, talented forward group, a talented blue line and two potential stars in net, and with Bogosian likely to come cheap, it's something worth looking at.
Ultimately, the team may be set for the regular season as of right now, but when the playoffs roll around, the Leafs will need that grit and toughness, so why not address the problem now?
