Prior to the start of the Leafs-Ducks game a few nights ago, Trevor Zegras and Matthew Knies shared some funny words about the game's national anthem after the questionable guitar version was played.

Zegras and Knies Say National Anthem Was Craziest They've Heard

Every once in a while before a professional sporting event you will hear a different and, let's call it interesting, rendition of the National Anthem. We just happened to get one of those prior to the Toronto Maple Leafs taking on the Anaheim Ducks.
The version was an electric guitar playing the American National Anthem, and it had Matthew Knies and Trevor Zegras floored, as they shared their thoughts on it prior to the puck drop at center ice.
Wait this is kinda cute LMAO zegras-knies bromance ??

Zegras and Knies Not the Only Players To Notice the Anthem

Zegras and Knies weren't the only two players to take notice of the interesting rendition of the anthem. William Nylander was caught on camera on the bench prior to the game trying to hold his laughter in as the guitar solo riffed on the American anthem.
William Nylander laughing at the shredding of the US national anthem is EVERYTHING
Some anthems just happen to be better than others, there's no doubt about that. And when someone tries to take the anthem in a different creative way, things can get a little dicey. So much so that it was the topic of discussion on Breakfast Television.
Were you tuned in to the Maple Leafs game Wednesday? What did YOU think of that (rockin') rendition of the national anthem? 🎸
Were you a fan of the anthem? Or would you rather see it done more classically?
