Maple Leafs Mysteriously Remove A Player From Their Active Roster
This morning Toronto Maple Leafs reporter from The Athletic Jonas Siegel discovered that the team had removed a player from their active roster. Siegel pointed out that Max Lajoie is no longer listed on the roster. The move brings the Maple Leafs down to 21 players.
Max Lajoie is no longer on the Leafs active roster.
That puts the Leafs at 21 players. Which means one more roster move to accommodate the eventual returns of Mark Giordano, Joseph Woll, and Calle Järnkrok.
While the purpose of the move is known the final destination for Lajoie is currently unknown. It is expected that Lajoie will head to the AHL but the announcement has yet to be made. In addition, the Maple Leafs are likely to eventually send down Martin Jones to create space for Joseph Woll's return.
As the final fate of Max Lajoie is revealed or the returns of any of these key players we will provide that update to you.
