Leafs GM Brad Treliving gives a tribute to his former player Johnny Gaudreau after tragic passing

Johnny Gaudreau was an incredibly exciting player for the Calgary Flames for many seasons. Sadly early this morning it was announced that Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew Gaudreau passed away due to a tragic accident.

In the hours since their passing fans, players, and teams have come out with their condolences and stories about the Gaudreau brothers. This included a message from former Calgary Flames GM and current Toronto Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving.

The heartfelt statement was admired by many and the appreciation that Brad Treliving has for Johnny Gaudreau is clear. However, Brad Treliving's support for the Gaudreau family did not end there. He also was able to donate $1,313 to the GoFundMe set up for Matthew Gaudreau's family.
