In sad news today, the Toronto Maple Leafs have announced the passing of former goaltender Ed Chadwick, who died at the age of 90 years old.

It's always sad news when a team announces the passing of one of its former players, and today was especially sadenning as the Toronto Maple Leafs will mourn a legend. The Leafs announced on X.com that former legend Ed Chadwick has passed at the age of 90.
We are saddened to learn of the passing of former Leafs netminder Ed Chadwick.

Ed played in 140 consecutive games in net for the Leafs, and is the last Leafs goalie to play in every game in a season. He played five seasons for Toronto, winning 57 games.

Our condolences are with his friends and family.
Chadwick was born in Fergus, Ontario, and played 6 seasons in the NHL before ending his career. He still holds the record for consecutive games played as a goaltender for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Chadwick later went on to become a scout for the Edmonton Oilers, part of several of their Stanley Cup teams.
Our thoughts are with the Chadwick family.
