After last season's complete mess up of keeping Joe Bowen from travelling with the team for the Playoffs, the Leafs will send him and Jim Ralph on the road for this year's post-season.

Joe Bowen and Jim Ralph are fan favourites when it comes to Leafs' broadcasting. Their voices have a special place in Leaf fans hearts, and the history that comes along with their broadcasts is palpable. While they are only on the radio broadcasts now, they are still adored by many fans who chose to listen to them over the TV broadcast.
Last season, the Leafs made a massive blunder in keeping Bowen and Ralph from travelling with the team during the first round of the playoffs. They would instead call games from the studio. This resulted in an unfortunate error when John Tavares scored the game-winning goal to send the Leafs to the second round, when it was not clear on the broadcast who scored. The Leafs later corrected this mistake by allowing Bowen and Ralph to travel to Florida in the second round.
Now, it has been announced that they will be travelling with the team for the entirety of the playoffs, going to away games in the first round. This is great news for Leaf fans who love listening to Bowen call games.
Hearing that Joe Bowen and Jim Ralph will again be on the road with the Leafs in playoffs for on-site radio broadcasts versus calling games from in studio.
Hopefully, this means we will get some electric calls from Bowen in the most passionate time of the season for Leaf fans.
