Simon Benoit of the Toronto Maple Leafs looks to be fully ready for the start of training camp, as he was seen showing off his abs in his latest training video.

Simon Benoit was a regular in the Toronto Maple Leafs' lineup last season, appearing in 64 games and getting five points while providing a very physical presence. Benoit is a great shot-blocker and gets into the corners to battle hard for the puck.
Benoit has been really focusing on his off-season training to be in tip top shape, as he recently shared a video on Instagram showing his hard work with his trainer.

Simon Benoit always knows how to fire up his teammates and give the fans something to talk about, as he was quoted saying something that would have given Leafs fans and his teammates a good chuckle following a 2-1 overtime win against his former team the Anaheim Ducks on Jan 3rd:
"I can't score a f-----' goal, but I'm glad to hit the bodies for you guys."

Benoit led the Leafs with 246 hits last season, despite the fact he missed 18 games. He is definitely a player the Leafs need in the best shape possible if they are to make a deep run in the playoffs next season, as the playoffs can get extremely physical and they will need someone there to throw the body around.
Benoit is fresh off signing a three-year extension with the Leafs, where he will be paid $1.35 million per year. Here's hoping his off-season workouts will pay off for the team over those next three seasons.
