Winnipeg Jets prospect Rutget McGroarty fell into the boards last night and needed to be stretchered off and rushed to the emergency room.
McGroarty Taken To The Emergency Room After Awful Collision
Last night University of Michigan star Rutger McGroarty took a hit from behind after taking a shot that sent him flying into the endboards. He was unable to brace himself properly and had his back take the brunt of the collision.

He was left dazed and in pain which could hint at him potentially also being concussed on the play.
It was later confirmed that McGroarty was taken to the emergency room where he was assessed by professionals.
Rutger McGroarty was taken to the emergency room according to Michigan coach Brandon Naurato. The extent of the injury is unknown.
McGroarty was taken with the 14th overall pick in the 2022 draft by the Winnipeg Jets. He is also currently Michigan's leading scorer having 18 points in 13 games so far this year. This is quite impressive as Michigan boasts a lot of NHL talent having 10 NHL draft picks on their roster.
We now await word on how much time McGroarty will miss but regardless it will be a major setback for his team.
