This piece of news gives relief to Jets fans as this means they can hopefully extend their former Vezina Trophy winner.
With Hellebuyck pricing himself at around $9 million and only a few teams willing to pay a goalie that much especially when he is on the wrong side of 30. However the Jets could string together a short term deal, that would work for both parties.
This also allows the Jets to get full market value for their star goalie as opposed to getting less than market value which would have happened over the summer.
