While trailing 4-1 in the third period, Dunn delivered a high hit targeting Holloway's shoulders, sending him into the boards. Holloway briefly stayed on the ground, but quickly recovered to retrieve the puck, which had come back to him.
Dunn came back and administered several cross-checks to Holloway behind the net before the situation began to calm down.
However, just before things settled completely, Holloway managed to pull Dunn back behind the net, attempting to remove his helmet, hinting at the potential for a full-scale brawl.
In the end, the Oilers secured a 4-1 victory, marking their first win since October 29. Holloway also contributed with a goal and got involved in a few face-off altercations during the game.
