Today in a game between the Washington Capitals and Edmonton Oilers TJ Oshie went down after a terrifying hit.
Oshie was skating across the middle of the ice when defenseman Mattias Ekholm went to hit Oshie's teammate. Instead, Ekholm and Oshie collided sending Oshie crashing to the ice.

T.J. Oshie has gone to the locker room after taking a hit from Ekholm
Oshie went to the locker room immediately. Since leaving the game the Capitals ruled him out with an upper-body injury.
INJURY UPDATE: #Caps TJ Oshie sustained an upper body injury and will not return to today's game.
The Oilers currently lead the game 5-0 after 2 periods. As Oshie deals with this injury we wish him the best in a speedy recovery.
