Gabriel Landeskog, captain of the Colorado Avalanche, won't be participating in the 2023-24 campaign after missing the previous season as well.

Undergoing Cartilage Transfer Surgery

The 11-year Avalanche veteran will undergo a cartilage transfer surgery on his right knee, sidelining him for the entirety of the 2024 season.
On May 10, Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog will have a cartilage transplant in his right knee. Dr. Brian Cole at the Rush University Medical Center in Chicago will perform the surgery. The 30-year-old forward is anticipated to be out for the entire 2023-24 season.
