Unfortunate news has come in from Chicago today regarding one of their newest players. A new report has confirmed that forward Taylor Hall is dealing with an injury.
Hall Goes Down With Potential Major Injury
On the first day of training camp, one major piece of the Chicago Blackhawks was missing in action. Veteran acquisition Taylor Hall was not a part of the on-ice activities. It was later announced that he is currently dealing with an injury.
#Blackhawks' Taylor Hall misses first day of training camp with lower-body injury:
This is a difficult start to the NHL season for Hall who has dealt with injuries in the past. As of now the specific injury that is afflicting Hall is not known. The severity of the injury is also currently in a wait-and-see state.
Blackhawks Head Coach Comments On Hall Injury
Blackhawks head coach Luke Richardson did comment on Taylor Hall's injury during a press conference along with the injury status of fellow forward Colin Blackwell.
Richardson doesn't think Taylor Hall or Colin Blackwell's injuries are too significant but they'll get more info in the coming days.
As of now neither injury is thought to be serious but more evaluation is set to be done. In the meantime, another former Boston Bruin Ryan Donato has taken Hall's place alongside Connor Bedard on the Blackhawks' top line.
If Hall does end up being out long term the already thin forward core of the Blackhawks will take a massive hit. The team will also be lacking in veteran leadership. This may warrant a move for a veteran forward that could fill the gap until Hall can return.
