The Columbus Blue Jackets have consistently been one of the worst teams in the NHL over the past couple of seasons. Tonight they got even worse as one of their best players left the game early with an apparent shoulder injury.
Laine Leaves Game Early With Injury
Blue Jackets star forward Patrik Laine left tonight's game against the Maple Leafs early after he suffered what appeared to be a shoulder injury.

Luckily for Laine, the result of the game seemed to be out of the question. When he left his team was up 2-0, but they would eventually go up 5-0 on the Leafs, embarrassing them on home ice.
Leafs Pull Off Another Remarkable Comeback
With the team down 5-0, it seemed as though the Leafs were ready to call it a night and move on to the next game. However, they came into the third period on fire, eventually tying the game with less than a minute left thanks to more heroics from Auston Matthews.
Matthews would score a goal to make the score 5-4 before adding the game tying goal seconds later.
As remarkable of a comeback as it was, the Leafs ultimately ran out of gas as the Blue Jackets would go on to win the game in overtime. Blue Jackets top prospect Kent Johnson had the overtime winner.
