It was just revealed, via Cap Friendly on X.com, that the Boston Bruins have placed Milan Lucic on the long-term injured reserve list. This move comes after speculation on Lucic's potential timeline for return, as he suffered a lower-body injury on Saturday night against the LA Kings. Lucic took a slapshot off the skate and missed some shifts, however, he did return to the game.
The Boston Bruins are off to an extremely strong start, winning 6 of their last 7 games, with their first loss coming in overtime last night against the Ducks. Lucic is also off to a decent start, despite playing in only 4 of those 7 games, he has recorded two assists and looked strong. The 35-year-old is entering his 17th season in the NHL.
