Sanni Hakala is a 26 year old women, currently under contract with HV71's women's team in the Swedish women's pro league, the SDHL. If their last game against Djurgården, Hakala lost her balance and fell head-first into the goal post. She reportedly stayed on the ice motionless for a substantial period of time before she was eventually stretchered off. Both teams agreed to pause the game due to the nature of the injury.
