This Former NHLer has since turned to professional boxing in his retirement from the NHL, fighting professionally now that his hockey career is over.

Hossa Turns to Professional Boxing

Marcel Hossa, brother of the great Slovak Mirian Hossa, had a pretty successful career as an NHLer, playing in 231 career games and scoring 61 points. Since his retirement in 2018, though, Hossa has turned to another physical sport to keep him busy. Hossa is now a professional boxer.

The 42-year-old, who scored 61 points in 237 career #NHL games and won a silver medal with Slovakia at the 2012 World Championship, picked up his first professional boxing win via a disqualification!

Marcel is the younger brother of the legendary 🇸🇰Marián Hossa, and while he only fought three times in his professional hockey career, did take 118 PIM in 52 games when he played for #Dinamo Riga in 2008-09.

Hossa Getting Wins in the Ring During Retirement

Hossa, who has had his wins on the ice, is now winning in the boxing ring, as he won his fight above via disqualification. Hossa wasn't known much for his fighting during his hockey days, only getting in 3 fights during his career.
