Earlier this week, South Yorkshire Police revealed the arrest of an unidentified individual, presumed to be Matt Petgrave, a forward for the Sheffield Steelers. He is suspected of manslaughter in relation to the tragic passing of Adam Johnson, a forward for the Nottingham Panthers, last month.
Furthermore, concerns have arisen, with one of Petgrave's former coaches suggesting that his actions may have been deliberate, considering his history.
Finn Elmo Aittola, who served as an assistant coach for HK Spisska Nova Ves in the Slovak Extraliga during Petgrave's 34-game tenure in the 2021-22 season, has openly criticized Petgrave's conduct.
