This NHL veteran just took a massive shot at his former Team Canada Coach in a recent podcast. It's not every day that you see players call out their previous coaches, and definitely a rarity to call out a Team Canada Coach.

Demers Calls Out Claude Julien For Coaching of 2022 Team Canada Team

Team Canada had a wonky roster for the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing. The NHL wasn't permitting its players to attend the Olympics, so Team Canada was made up of emerging prospects, recently retired players, and some NHL prospects that didn't pan out.
Canada's coach was Claude Julien. However, Jason Demers recently went on a podcast to say how Julien didn't really mesh with the team.
Demers pretty much says that Julien is too old school to coach an international tournament, with many of Canada's players playing in Europe. He believes that Julien didn't mesh well with the playstyle of the tournament.

Julien Breaks Ribs Before Tournament Even Began

Demers also noted during the interview how Julien broke his ribs before the tournament started, and wasn't able to attend the Olympics. He thinks that Jeremy Colliton was a much better fit for the guys on the team, reflective of their silver medal in the tournament.
