Milan Lucic's NHL career appears to be over, according to reports within the NHL.

Lucic, 36, signed a 1 year contract to return to the Boston Bruins last year, but only lasted 4 games before being arrested on domestic violence charges.
Lucic was placed on indefinite leave by Boston directly after the incident occurred. Lucic then entered the NHL's Player Assistance Program shortly after. As the case against Lucic furthered, his wife refused to cooperate with authorities, and the charges against him were dropped.
Even though the charges against Lucic were dropped, his wife still filed for divorce, an order of protection, and asked that Lucic not be allowed visitation rights to their children until he completed an alcohol rehabilitation program.
According to an insider on X (formerly Twitter), Milan Lucic has garnered zero interest from teams around the league following his arrest, even though the 36 year old is still hoping to play in the NHL next season. His advancing age and significantly reduced foot speed may also be a factor for NHL teams not signing him.
It looks like Milan Lucic's NHL career is over. He was struggling to keep up last season, and his arrest left him unwelcome back in Boston.

There has been no interest in him this summer and he hasn't been connected to anyone via rumors. At 36, it's fair to say it's game over.

Lucic also played for the Calgary Flames, Los Angeles Kings, and Edmonton Oilers in his career, a career in which he played 1,177 games and amassed 586 points.
Lucic had a great career, and unfortunately his own mistakes and problems may have ended it.
