NFL employee collapsed during Baltimore Ravens and Las Vegas Raiders game
In a terrifying scene, one Baltimore Ravens employee collapsed and received CPR during a recent NFL game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
The NFL season is officially underway, having started with a matchup between 2023 league leader the Baltimore Ravens and Super Bowl champions the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday, September 5th. After having lost to the Chiefs, the Ravens were looking to even out their record against the less-impressive Las Vegas Raiders, who finished 21st overall last season.
However, what was expected to be a simple win for the Ravens quickly turned south after a member of the chain gang collapsed and was unresponsive. Baltimore's medical personnel were on the scene in the blink of an eye and administered CPR. Shortly thereafter, the person was brought to the nearest hospital for treatment. As he was being carted off, he made a gesture to the crowd, implying he was going to be alright. Though he was expected to pull through following more medical attention, the team still took time to pause and take a knee for in prayer of the the party's health.
While the health and safety of all members of your team, players or not, should be paramount, the Ravens could not overcome the troubles from early in the game. The Las Vegas Raiders successfully made a major upset, beating Baltimore 26-23. Both teams will have their next chance to improve their standings on Sunday, September 22nd. Vegas will play against the Carolina Panthers, while the Ravens will face off against the Dallas Cowboys. As they wish for the best for their game, we can all wish the best for the employee and his recovery.
