The Vegas Golden Knights, despite having built a 3-0 series lead, have failed to deliver the final blow to the Dallas Stars.
Golden Knights Come up Short In Game 5 In Vegas
The Knights lost game four in overtime and subsequently suffered a 4-2 defeat in game five, which took place in Vegas on Saturday night.
Their struggle is evident, and frustration is palpable within the team. The Golden Knights' head coach, Bruce Cassidy, didn't hide his displeasure during a recent post-game interview, and managed to criticize his team and another simultaneously.

Cassidy expressed his concern about the team's turnovers and lack of shots, saying,
"We have 24 giveaways. I'm not sure you're beating the Arizona Coyotes in January with 24 giveaways. That's no disrespect to Arizona, but that's not the right way to play."
He did not mince his words when describing his dissatisfaction with the number of giveaways, attributing it to a
"lack of urgency, poor puck management, and questionable decision-making."
While Cassidy's comments may seem harsh, they could be taken as a critique of the Coyotes, but also as a wake-up call for his team.
The implication was that even with their current performance, they might struggle to beat the Coyotes. Perhaps this will serve as a motivation booster as they prepare to return to Dallas.
In an unfortunate twist for VGK, they tied their record for the most giveaways in a playoff game and fell just four short of the most giveaways in any game in their franchise's history.
