In recent weeks and months, talks of a new NHL team heading to Atlanta, Salt Lake City or even back to Quebec City has heated up, and now, it appears another city is looking into the possibility.
According to a recent report from the Houston Chronicle, Tilman Ferttita, the owner of the NBA's Houston Rockets has interest in the idea of bringing an NHL team to Houston, potentially making them the league's second team in the state of Texas.
Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta says talks to bring the NHL to Houston have picked up of late as he sees a hockey team as a way to boost the downtown economy.

With both the Texans, Astros and the Rockets thriving in popularity, Ferttita sees this as an opportunity to further boost the economy of downtown Houston, and its fantastic market that's seen success in the NBA, MLB and NFL.
Who should be next for NHL expansion?
This is a relatively new revelation, as talks with both the owner of the Utah Jazz and the Atlanta Hawks appear to be further along than Houston, but with one of the fastest growing cities in the United States, it's a move that would make sense.
With so many cities involved, the NHL now need to look into what the best option would be, and whether expansion or relocation is the way to go, but regardless, it appears that there's going to be some massive changes on the way soon.
