After an amazing playoff run last season, Florida is in some cap trouble. Rumours are now circulating that their high-scoring star could be on the trading block.
Potential Trade Soon?
With the extension of Matthew Tkachuk, the Panthers may need to move on from some of their other high-earning, top players.
One of these players that has been mentioned is former second-overall pick, Sam Reinhart. Reinhart has been a top-level contributor for the Panthers over the past few seasons and has an expiring contract after this year.
Reinhart has played in 614 games over the course of his career, recording 198 goals and 444 points in those games. At a $6.5 million cap hit, his status as an emerging veteran could be very valuable to some teams looking for experience at the top end of their lineup.
