Rumors are swirling that two top Canadian teams are talking about making a major deal.

Blockbuster Trade Brewing Between the Leafs and Flames?

Brad Treliving, currently serving as the Maple Leafs' GM and previously with the Flames, appears to be in talks to bring some of his old roster to Toronto.
According to Eklund:
"The Leafs are interested in Hanifin and Mangiapane. The Flames are keen on Knies, Nylander, Liljegren, and a few prospects... Those are the names I've heard. Chances are we aren't talking about all those names, but some combination of them."

Could Nylander Find a New Home in Calgary?

Firstly, Matthew Knies probably won't be a part of this equation. It's hard to imagine the Leafs letting him go unless an irresistible offer is on the table. Ready to break into the NHL and with the Leafs' strong belief in his potential, a Knies' trade seems less probable.
If a trade does happen on Toronto's end, it'll likely involve Nylander, Liljegren, or a few prospects.
The hottest name in the mix is Nylander. If he's up for grabs, a line of teams would surely be eager to get him. But the real question is, can the Flames outbid the rest?

Despite their recent acquisitions of stars like Jonathan Huberdeau and Nazem Kadri, the Flames could still use a player of Nylander's caliber. But acquiring him won't come cheap. A plausible deal could see the Flames trading Hanifin (with some salary retention) and a couple of valuable draft picks for Nylander and Liljegren.
Do you think Nylander will be traded to Calgary?
