After three seasons with the Marlies, the Philadelphia Flyers organization has signed Toronto's AHL goaltender Keith Petruzzelli.

Though the Toronto Maple Leafs have had trouble making a difference in the NHL playoffs, their AHL affiliate team has not stopped working to put up a tough battle. one player they signed to help their cause was goaltender Keith Petruzzelli. After four years of playing for Quinnipiac University, the former Detroit Red Wings pick was traded to Toronto, who placed him in their AHL affiliate the Toronto Marlies. After a successful start of winning six games and posting a .922 save percentage, he was immediately signed to another two-year entry-level contract.
Keith Petruzzelli has played three seasons with the Toronto Marlies, appearing in 47 games total and holding a 22-17-4 record. However, the 25-year-old goaltender had his worst AHL season so far, recording only a .867 save percentage. Toronto then decided not to provide him a qualifying offer, leaving him open for other teams to pick him up. Fortunately, he was given an opportunity to get his game back elsewhere in the league. Keith Petruzeelli will now play with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, the Philadelphia Flyers AHL affiliate team.
Despite his dip in gameplay during the 2023-24 season with the Marlies, Flyers fans seem hopeful for Keith Petruzzelli to make a comeback. The AHL goaltender has a history of better performance and stands at a staggering 6'5" and 185 pounds, which could add needed depth to the organization at large. Hopefully, Keith Peturzzelli can prove these fans right and put up a better performance in Lehigh Valley.
