Dylan Cozens Calls Out Teammates With Shocking Statement
The Buffalo Sabres were expected to take another step forward this year after they came so close to making the playoffs last season. Instead, they find themselves at the back of the pack once again. Yesterday, one of their young centers called out his teammates.
Cozens Accuses Sabres Of Being Too Soft To Win Games
The 22-year-old center figures to be one of the Sabre's key core players going forward. With the way he's called out his teammates, he may very well be given a letter on his jersey at some point as well as he showed a lot of leadership qualities in the statement.
"I think we definitely play way too soft. We're too easy to play against and we need to get a little 'FU' in our game. I think we had more of that last year. We're way too soft this year. I feel like we don't kill plays. We kind of get bullied and stuff and we know we need to be way harder to play against. We're too easy to play against right now."

The comments came after a brutal 6-2 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.
Of course, the Sabres have had to deal with significant adversity this year.
Sabres Missing Thompson Badly
One player the Sabres are desperately missing is their number one center
Tage Thompson. The 6'6" superstar has been out since mid November after he suffered an injury against the Boston Bruins. Reportedly, Thompson is still going to be out for a significant amount of time.
Thompson is currently 6th on the team in scoring despite missing the last eight games. Last year he lead the team in scoring by a wide margin as he collected 94 points in 78 games. There is still time for the Sabres to recover from their current skid, but the clock is ticking and the odds are growing increasingly slim that they could end their playoff drought this year.
