Foligno Calls Out Blackhawks After Brutal Effort In Loss To St. Louis Blues

The 36-year old veteran forward was rather passionate in his post-game interview after the team lost 4-2 to the Blues last night. He seemed to hint that some of the players on the team haven't figured out what it really takes to win in the National Hockey League yet.
«We're just one win, one loss, one win, one loss. It's a frustrating road to be on. But we have to understand why we're in it.»

Foligno Playing the Role Of Captain Despite Not Having The "C" On His Jersey

Foligno was brought to Chicago largely to give the young players, including Connor Bedard, a veteran presence to aspire to in the locker room. The move has clearly worked out well as the 36-year-old seems to have taken the reigns as the team's true leader.

Foligno is on an expiring contract with a cap hit of 4 million dollars. His future remains uncertain as he could be seen as a valuable depth piece on a contending team. This very well could be his last season in the NHL. he has 2 goals and 9 points through 18 games this season.
