Recent updates confirm that Josh Leivo, previously with the Toronto Maple Leafs, has now finalized a deal with Salavat from the KHL.
Toronto Maple Leafs initially drafted Leivo in the third round of the 2011 NHL draft. He showcased his talents with the Leafs for parts of six seasons. During the 2018-19 season, he joined the Canucks, where he had a personal best, playing 76 games and scoring 24 points.
In the following season, he scored 19 points in 36 games. Over recent years, Leivo has shuffled between teams like the Flames, Hurricanes, and Blues. He's often viewed as a player exceeding AHL standards but hasn't quite found a consistent footing in the NHL.
