Nick Robertson has publicly stated that he wants out of Toronto, and now three rival teams of the Maple Leafs have expressed interest and are closing in on a deal.

Robertson has been frustrated with his lack of ice time and production in Toronto, and feels the spotlight is taken away from him by the likes of Matthews, Marner and Tavares, and has publicly stated he wants to be traded.
Sources say that RFA Nick Robertson has no plans to re-sign with the #leafs this summer and has informed the team that he would like to be traded.
The Hockey News' Adam Proteau has revealed the three teams that appear to be the front runners to trade for Robertson. They are the Vegas Golden Knights, Columbus Blue Jackets and the San Jose Sharks. Proteau believes the Sharks have a slight edge over the other two teams due to Robertson being from California.
In terms of the Blue Jackets, Proteau believes that Robertson would have a real chance at shining on their top two lines there, which is exactly what he wants, and Columbus is desperate for some offense after being bottom feeders for the past several years.
What do you guys think? If he's available, should DW try to get him? #cbj #leafsforever

As for Vegas, Robertson would likely slot in the middle-six, as the Golden Knights attempt to re-tool their team so that they can get back to winning the Stanley Cup. One thing's for sure, the Leafs do not need anymore distractions next season, as they desperately attempt to get over the playoff hump. A disgruntled Robertson would not be a good look, so Leafs' GM Brad Treliving is likely working hard to close this deal.
