New Devils head coach Sheldon Keefe held a Q&A session with season ticket holders and talked about what he learned in Toronto and about himself.

The Toronto Maple Leafs parted ways with Keefe after they were eliminated from the playoffs this last season. In a conversational Q&A session with the New Jersey Media and fans, Keefe talked about his experience in Toronto and how to "remain true to yourself" especially in a market like Toronto.

Keefe was the head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs for 5 years. Prior he led the Toronto Marlies to the Calder Cup championship in 2018. When he took on the new job as head coach in Toronto the expectation was to continue to make the playoffs and more each year.
Now, with the new NHL season just around the corner, the same type of expectations are the same for Keefe in New Jersey as the Devils have the talent to go into the playoffs with talent like Nico Hischier and Jack Hughes.
Keefe was replaced in Toronto by Craig Berube just a few weeks after he was released from duty on May 9th.
The Devils are looking to make headway after a missed playoff season last year. The year prior they had the second best record in the Metropolitan division going 52-22-8 in that 2022-23 season.
