Ryan McCleary comes to the organization at just 20 years old. He spent last season in the WHL with the Swift Current Broncos. According to reports it is likely that Ryan McCleary begins his professional hockey journey in the ECHL with the Cincinnati Cyclones.
Glad Ryan McCleary is getting an AHL deal with Toronto. Good frame at 6-foot-3, right-shot D-man, and impressed Leafs staff at development camp.

Expect him to play notable minutes with ECHL Cincinnati
With Ryan McCleary being just 20 years old he has plenty of development runway ahead of him. He will have to consistently improve over the next several years to put himself in a position to fight for an NHL job.
