Even though it is Perry's first season in Chicago, it has already been rumoured that he is on his way out of the city, and could land on one of these two teams.
Perry Rumoured To Be On His Way Out of Chicago and Potentially Headed to Eastern Conference
Corey Perry signed with the Chicago Blackhawks this past summer, and not many expected him to be there for very long. He was brought in to provide some veteran leadership for the Blackhawks' young core, and now it has been rumoured that he could be on his way out.
As the season continues, the Blackhawks will likely look to move Perry to a team that is looking to contend in hopes of securing a nice return to help them continue their rebuild.
Toronto and Tampa Bay Could be Landing Spots for Perry
The reports have Perry potentially landing in one of two places, Toronto or Tampa Bay. Perry is well known to Toronto fans for his ability to get under their skins during the postseason. With Ryan Reaves not looking great to start the year, they could be looking to add another veteran player who knows how to draw penalties.
Corey Perry appears to have some beef with someone in the Toronto crowd😂🫵
Tampa is also a potential spot for Perry, which is interesting as it is his old team. While a potential trade is unlikely in the near term, something could happen near the deadline that sees Perry leave Chicago.
